This course is an overview of world history which provides an introduction to the origin and development of the world's societies and their political, cultural, and economic traditions and the influence we might see in today's world. This course will not only serve to further your understanding of historical content, but will also continue to develop sharper reading, writing, primary and secondary source analysis, and critical thinking skills. We will examine the scope of history through a global lens and you will often serve as the historian as you interpret historical evidence, determine its relevance, identify point of view, and recognize the strengths and weaknesses that exist within the document. We will be exploring topics from the classic Ancient Civilizations to the present day as we interpret the current affairs of the world and the impact of the various regions of the world.
